Airfi Transports Now Run on Renewable Diesel

We began utilizing the Kaukokiito BIO service, which makes transportation more climate-friendly. The service is in use for our domestic transports in Finland.

The service uses renewable diesel manufactured from 100% recyclable raw materials, such as waste. The renewable diesel burns cleanly and is well-suited to cold climate of North.

The Kaukokiito BIO service works by Kaukokiito tanking the equivalent amount of renewable diesel for Airf’s cargo transports in its network. This reduces the transportation carbon footprint by up to 90%. This way also the climate impact of Airf’s ventilation products is further decreased.

The service’s emission reduction targets are regularly monitored through emissions reporting.

According to Airf’s CEO Izabella Lundberg, implementing the service is such a simple way for the company to participate in climate efforts that it should be self-evident.

“We want to seize every opportunity to positively influence climate impacts. Therefore, it was natural for us to choose this option for transportation,” she says.
