Enheten f\u00f6r specifik elektrisk effekt \u00e4r vanligtvis kW\/(m\u00b3\/s) eller W\/(m\u00b3\/s). SFP-v\u00e4rdet f\u00e5s genom att dela effekten med luftfl\u00f6det. V\u00e4rdet beskriver ventilationssystemets effektivitet.   <br\/><br\/>Den specifika elektriska effektiviteten visar hur mycket el ventilationen f\u00f6rbrukar f\u00f6r att flytta en kubikmeter luft per sekund. Med god planering och val av utrustning kan elf\u00f6rbrukningen i ventilationen minskas, vilket direkt p\u00e5verkar byggnadens energianv\u00e4ndning. Eftersom el utg\u00f6r en stor del av byggnadens energif\u00f6rbrukning kan en korrekt dimensionering enligt g\u00e4llande f\u00f6reskrifter avsev\u00e4rt minska milj\u00f6p\u00e5verkan.  <br\/><br\/>I Finland ing\u00e5r SFP\u2011v\u00e4rden (specifik elektrisk effekt) f\u00f6r ventilationssystem i de officiella byggf\u00f6reskrifterna och anger tydliga maxv\u00e4rden f\u00f6r olika system.<br\/><br\/>I Airfis ber\u00e4kningsprogram tar SFP\u2011v\u00e4rdet \u00e4ven h\u00e4nsyn till automatikens effektf\u00f6rbrukning. Vid j\u00e4mf\u00f6relser \u00e4r det viktigt att s\u00e4kerst\u00e4lla att det SFP\u2011v\u00e4rde som anges i ber\u00e4kningsprogrammen inkluderar ventilationsaggregatets automatik, som f\u00f6reskrifterna kr\u00e4ver.
